As a follow up to what was communicated earlier this week in regard to the school buildings being closed at this time, we wanted to provide additional more detailed information.
In an effort to clean and sanitize the school and keep them sanitized, facilities are currently closed and sealed off.

During Spring Break, we conducted a thorough cleaning and disinfecting protocol using hospital-grade disinfectants, with differing treatments for porous and non-porous surfaces. Cleaning and sanitization that occured included the following:

Classrooms & Offices
Included: student desks & chairs, classroom countertops, interior and exterior door knobs & crash bars, computer mice & keyboards, Chromebooks and iPads, hands-on learning items, faucet handles in classroom labs, phones, toys (Nursery, Bridges).

Restrooms
Additionally, all bathrooms were thoroughly hot mopped w/disinfecting solution, toilet bowls wipe and scrub with disinfectant along with sinks and faucets.

HVAC System
Air returns and supply vents throughout the school were disinfected.

Flooring (Classrooms, Offices, and Common Areas – hallways)
Rooms with the flooring were hot-mopped with disinfecting solution.
Rooms with carpeting were sprayed with hospital-grade fabric disinfectant.

We would like to thank the dedicated and always hard working members of the St. Cecilia Maintenance Staff and the parish’s new Facilities Manager Marlon Ayala for their efforts in coordinating and getting this work done to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff.
