Mr. Sparks holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Tulane University. He joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 1999, and over his tenure, he has taught and coached various sports and several academic subjects. Mr. Sparks’ current roles are as a Physical Education & Social Studies teacher and coordinator of the annual 8th Grade trip to Washington, D.C. One of his personal goals is to see all the National parks with his family. He is also very proud to have two sons attending St. Cecilia.

Mrs. Stephan joined the St. Cecilia Catholic School staff in 2022. Before joining St. Cecilia, she was a teacher for six years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida in Education with Honors and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. Olivia and her husband Corey have two children who attend St. Cecilia – Augustine, Class of 2033, and Lucy, Class of 2034. In her free time, she likes spending time with family and friends and enjoys baking bread.

Mrs. Stockton joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2023. Before joining St. Cecilia, Mrs. Stockton taught for 1 year in Florida. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Stockton is also the Student Council Advisor. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Florida Gulf Coast University. Ari and her husband, Jacob, had their first child this past summer, a baby boy named Miller. Ari enjoys spending time with her family, paddle boarding, and going on long walks with her two Australian Shepherds, Coconut and Cowboy.

Mrs. Trevino joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2024. Before joining St. Cecilia, Mrs. Trevino taught for 28 years in Spring Branch Independent School District. In addition to teaching STREAM, Mrs. Trevino is also in charge of the morning announcements. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston in Education, as well as a Master’s Degree from Houston Christian University in Instructional Technology. Along with her family, Theresa loves to snow ski and spend time outside near the water. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, shopping, and spending time with her chickens and cats.

Patrice Tucker joined the St. Cecilia Catholic School faculty in 2021. She has over thirty-five years of teaching experience in grades ranging from preschool to eighth grade and graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. Patrice enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and attending Jazz Fest in New Orleans.

Mrs. Valenzuela joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2020. She comes to St. Cecilia with over 15 years of educational experience and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Universidad Kino as well as an Early Childhood Teaching Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Outside of work, Carmen is a wife and mother of three amazing kids. Her children attended St. Cecilia Catholic School. She loves spending time with her family, enjoys cooking, loves working out, runs 5Ks, and volunteers in the community. She is so happy to be part of the St. Cecilia Community after attending Catholic schools her whole life.

Kelly Varisco joined the St. Cecilia Catholic School staff in 2024. She comes to St. Cecilia with 14 years of experience in education, previously teaching in Uruguay, and charter and public schools here in Houston. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. Kelly has two young kids, Andy and Marie, and enjoys reading, traveling, and live music.

Mrs. Karen, a native of Louisiana (WHO DAT NATION!), joined the staff of St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2021. Before joining St. Cecilia, she worked for nine years in classroom settings supporting students with behavioral adaptations and special needs. She also spent three years providing transportation services for special needs students with Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD).

Mrs. Karen is a retired member of the Texas Army National Guard, a Certified Medical Assistant, and holds a certification in Early Childhood Education. Her diverse professional background reflects her commitment to serving and supporting children and families in various capacities.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Karen enjoys bike riding, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband, John; her two adult sons, Zackery (28) and Quenton (26); and her beloved fur baby, Cooper (13).

Sr. Cecilia joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2020. She is a Dominican Sister from Mary Immaculate Province and has seven years of experience in education.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Arts and Sciences from Lamar University. Sr. Cecilia likes to use the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program and method to teach young children and help them grow in their faith.  She loves to read about the lives of the saints.
