Mrs. Poche joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2014. Before that, she had five years of teaching experience. In addition to being an Art teacher, Mrs. Poche is the Associate Director of Communications at St. Cecilia. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Sam Houston State University in Communications and Public Relations with a minor in Sociology and EC-12 Art. Sarah loves spending time with her two daughters, husband, dog, family, and friends. She is so happy to be a part of the St. Cecilia community after attending Catholic schools her entire life.
Miss Quinn joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2022. Before joining St. Cecilia, Miss Quinn had two years of teaching experience. In addition to teaching 4th grade Reading and Language Arts, Miss Quinn helps with the Campus Ministry program. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Kansas. Jane enjoys swimming and paddleboarding in her free time.
Mrs. Ragas joined the staff of St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2021 and came to St. Cecilia with five years of experience in education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Tehran Azad University. She loves traveling and experiencing new cultures with her husband and daughter. Her daughter, Ariana, graduated from St. Cecilia Catholic School and St. Agnes Academy and is now a sophomore at Texas A&M University.
Ms. Ricks joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2018. Prior to that, Ms. Ricks had eight years of teaching experience. In addition to being the drama teacher, she also runs the Speech Club, and leads the annual 8th Grade Play. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Theatre Arts from Trinity University, and a Masters Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Houston. Cori loves being a part of the St. Cecilia Catholic School community!
Oscar has been a long-time member of the Saint Cecilia Catholic Community volunteering as Worship Leader at the Sunday Evening Mass for 15 years, as a Life Teen Core Team member for 13 years, and as part of the music team for our Men’s ACTS Retreat every year since 2013. He often spends 6 days a week on our campus tending to his gifts of service. His passion for his faith spills over to his work for the school. He is currently certified in CompTIA A+ and Server+, and is working on adding Microsoft Azure (AZ900) and AI (AI900) Certifications.
Mrs. Schappell joined the staff at Saint Cecilia School in 2024. She comes to us with 29 years of experience in education and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Principal Certification from the University of St. Thomas, a Counseling Degree from Region IV, and a Non-Profit Leadership Certification from Rice University.
Trish enjoys spending time with her husband while going on nature walks. She began a nonprofit organization, The Kids’ Reading Room, in 2013, and spends time volunteering to read to children. She loves working with children and helping them to be successful.
Mrs. Schenk joined the staff of St. Cecilia Catholic School this school year. She comes to St. Cecilia with 15 years of experience in education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Applied Learning and Development and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with focuses on Reading and Academic Coaching from the University of Texas at Tyler. Kaitlen and her husband, Andrew, have two young children. Kaitlen enjoys watching college football (Hook ‘em Horns), reading, and relaxing at the lake with her family.
Mrs. Silva joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2018 and brings over eleven years of experience in education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Houston–Downtown. Aremy is passionate about instilling a love of learning in the hearts of her students. She enjoys designing innovative, hands-on lessons that actively engage young minds and foster a classroom environment where every child feels valued, supported, and successful.
Having her son, Ethan, attend St. Cecilia alongside her has been one of the greatest blessings of her teaching journey. Being part of the St. Cecilia community—as both a parent and an educator—brings her immense joy and purpose. She is deeply grateful to work in a faith-filled, nurturing environment and truly considers St. Cecilia her second home.
Mr. Sparks holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Tulane University. He joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 1999, and over his tenure, he has taught and coached various sports and several academic subjects. Mr. Sparks’ current roles are as a Physical Education & Social Studies teacher and coordinating the annual 8th Grade trip to Washington D.C. One of his personal goals is to see all the National parks with his family. He is also very proud to have two sons attending St. Cecilia this year in Kindergarten and 3rd grade.
Mrs. Stephan joined the St. Cecilia Catholic School staff in 2022. Before joining St. Cecilia, she was a teacher for six years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida in Education with Honors and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. Olivia and her husband Corey have two children who attend St. Cecilia – Augustine, Class of 2033, and Lucy, Class of 2034. In her free time, she likes spending time with family and friends and enjoys baking breads.
