Ms. DeForke joined the staff of St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2020. She graduated from two local Houston Catholic schools – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. John XXIII College Preparatory. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Houston – Downtown and is a certified classroom teacher in Texas. She is currently working on her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Christian University. She has been dancing since she was five years old and is experienced in advanced Ballet/Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, and Tap. Anna has also choreographed, taught, and performed numerous dances and solos and has two wonderful parents, one brother, two sisters, and three cats.

Sister Mary Catherine joined Saint Cecilia Catholic School in 2023. Before joining St. Cecilia, Sister had 15 years of teaching experience and coordinating Catechetical Programs at various parishes. Sister holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas and a Master’s Degree in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. Sister Mary Catherine has served as Director of Vocation and Advancement for her Congregation for five years. Sister absolutely enjoys sharing with others about God and His plan of salvation. She also enjoys reading, watching inspirational movies, and rallying for our H-Town sports teams, especially the Astros.

Mrs. Drake joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2011. Prior to joining St. Cecilia, Mrs. Drake had five years of teaching experience. In addition to teaching 7th grade, Mrs. Drake also assists with Campus Ministry and is the Middle School Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana State University. Christy is a native Houstonian, enjoys baking, and has three sons – two of whom attend St. Cecilia – Mark, Class of 2028 and Cole, Class of 2033.

Mrs. Drake joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2020. She comes to St. Cecilia with seven years of experience in non-profits and communications. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas in Austin. Brooke has served many volunteer roles at the school over the last few years including helping to chair the annual HSA Field Day, and as the Vice President of the school HSA the last two years. Brooke has two daughters at St. Cecilia – Addison, Class of 2023, and Aubrey, Class of 2027.

Mrs. DuPree joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2012. Prior to joining St. Cecilia, Mrs. DuPree had twenty-two years of teaching experience. In addition to teaching middle school Religion and Science, she is also the Head Softball Coach. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching, and a Masters Degree in Education, both from Sam Houston State University. Karen enjoys being outside hiking and exploring, and when not outside reading, jigsaw puzzles, and going out to eat.

Ms. DuPree joined the staff of St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2022. Before teaching at St. Cecilia, she was a substitute at the school for about four years. She now teaches 4th grade Social Studies and Science. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Lamar University in Interdisciplinary Studies. Aimee enjoys baking, making crafts, playing games, and watching sports.

Mrs. Escobedo joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2023. Before that, Mrs. Escobedo had 12 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Math from Texas A&M University at College Station. Marla is passionate about creating compassionate learning environments where children love to learn.
