Mrs. Christie joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in January of 2025, bringing 28 years of experience from SBISD. As a fourth-generation teacher, she inherited a deep passion for education and believes in its incredible impact. Mrs. Christie holds degrees in Elementary Education and Art from the University of South Dakota, and she loves using creative projects to bring learning to life in her classroom.

Mrs. Christie’s family life is a testament to her dedication, with five wonderful children, and she feels incredibly blessed. Her three grown children are building successful careers: her oldest son and his wife live in NC, where he is in commercial real estate, another son is engaged and works in commercial construction near San Antonio, and her oldest daughter is joining the audit section at PwC this fall. Their youngest son is a junior at SMU’s COX Business School, and their youngest daughter is a senior at Stratford High School. Her family is also eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first grandchild in January.

Mrs. Christie enjoys spending time with her large Greek family, often gathering at their family-owned restaurant, Christie’s Seafood and Steaks. She loves traveling with her husband, spending time with her two beloved dogs, and being near the water. As a mother and dedicated educator, she understands the importance of a strong school-home-faith connection. She is committed to creating a supportive and safe classroom where every student can thrive.

Mr. Conlan joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2012. Before joining St. Cecilia, Mr. Conlan was a teacher for nine years. In addition to teaching, Mr. Conlan is also a St. Cecilia Basketball Coach, Baseball Coach, and a Campus Ministry leader. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston in Marketing and International Business. Brooks and his wife, Katherine Conlan, have three children Alexa 21, Hays a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic School Class of 2029, and Crosby a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic School Class of 2031. Brooks loves spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Nurse

Mrs. Coursey joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2024. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor’s in Science from Baylor University. Before becoming a school nurse, she worked as a pre-operative nurse at an outpatient surgery center. She also has nursing experience in women’s health and pediatrics.  Meredith has three children who attend St. Cecilia-Elizabeth, William and Easton. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading. She looks forward to being part of the St. Cecilia community.

Carol Crittenden
Music Teacher

Ms. Crittenden began teaching at St. Cecilia Catholic School in the fall of 2022. A native Houstonian, she returned to Houston after working for nine years at the American International School of Budapest, Hungary. Before going abroad, she taught in CyFair and in northern Virginia. Most recently, she taught elementary music in the Fort Bend Independent School District.  She is a graduate of Baylor University (Bachelor of Music) and Louisiana State University (Master of Music).

In her spare time, Ms. Crittenden plays the oboe and English horn, currently serving as principal oboist in the Houston Civic Symphony and the Sugar Land Winds. She loves to travel and enjoys spending time with her two dogs, going to concerts, exercising, and working on jigsaw puzzles.  She is dedicated to teaching the students at St. Cecilia Catholic School the joys of music.

Mrs. Davis is honored to be teaching third grade at St. Cecilia Catholic School. Over the past 10 years, she has taught kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grade. She has also served as a reading interventionist. Mrs. Davis is a graduate of St. John Paul II and St. Pius X. She brings both her faith and love of learning into the classroom each day.

Outside of school, Mrs. Davis enjoys spending time with her four children and playing tennis. Her goal is to create a warm, supportive, and challenging classroom environment where every child can grow as a reader, writer, and thinker.

7th Grade English / Language Arts Teacher

Mrs. Drake joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2011. Prior to joining St. Cecilia, Mrs. Drake had five years of teaching experience. In addition to teaching 7th grade, Mrs. Drake also assists with Campus Ministry and is the Middle School Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana State University. Christy is a native Houstonian, enjoys baking, and has three sons – two of whom attend St. Cecilia – Mark, Class of 2028 and Cole, Class of 2033.

Mrs. Drake joined St. Cecilia Catholic School in 2024. Prior to joining St. Cecilia, Mrs. Drake had 34 years of teaching experience in the Houston area. In addition to teaching ELA, Mrs. Drake has also taught Social Studies, Theater and Speech. A native of south Louisiana, she graduated Louisiana State University. Mrs. Drake enjoys travelling with her husband, David, and spending time with her two daughters, Abigail, a Speech Language Pathologist, and Harper, a Special Education paraprofessional.
