After-School Enrichment

A variety of fee-based programs such as Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Chess, Art, Dance, Fencing and Soccer are offered from outside vendors. The programs offered must meet the Archdiocese requirements and vary by semester. Here are the available courses for this Fall.

American Robotics Academy – Pre-Kindergarten Through 6th Grade
American Robotics Academy aims to excite, inspire, and motivate students in grades PK-6th about the importance of engineering, robotics, and coding technology. All the courses are hands-on! Introduction to the fundamentals of engineering and robotics design and understanding “how things work.” Activities and challenges are friendly, in a sports-like atmosphere. Students work in teams and learn how to design, build, and test remote-controlled miniature robots. We use simple, motorized machines – all made from LEGO bricks! After School Enrichment Workshops Available K-5th Grades
Dates: January 8th – May 13th, 2024 – Mondays
Times: 3:30-4:30PM

Academy for Fencing Education
1st grade and up have the opportunity to participate in world-class fencing training hosted by Benoit Bouysset, a second level master of arms and three-time world champion fencing master. Coach Bouysset is the former resident coach at the US Olympic Training Center, national coach for the USA men’s epee team at the 2012 London Olympics, and an International Sports Engine 2020 Coach Excellence Award Finalist. Your child will join the millions throughout history whose agility, perception, and focus have been improved through the art of sword fighting. Students will be provided with all equipment.

St. Cecilia Martial Arts Team
The St. Cecilia Martial Arts Team led by Tyler Sowers is available this year. Registration is now open for Wednesday classes which will begin second semester, and are held on campus after school. Please see this flyer for more information and a registration link.

Chess Wizards (1st-8th grade, Fridays)
Join Chess Wizards this year for challenging chess lessons, exciting tournaments, fun, team activities, and more! If you’re brand-new to chess, we’ll teach you the basics and get you playing right away. If you’re a seasoned checkmate artist, we’ll show you new ways to let your creativity show on the chess board.

Glass Gymnastics (PK3 and up, Thursdays)
Elevate your child’s after-school experience with our exhilarating tumbling classes! From forward rolls to gravity-defying flips, our instruction will guide them through a thrilling world of twists and turns. Develop flexibility, agility, and coordination while building friendships and boosting self-esteem. Enroll now and let the excitement begin! Pk-3 through 8th grade instruction, including tumbling for cheer!

MoveNation (PK3-3rd, Tuesdays)
Instruction is provided by MoveNation Dance Academy. Our classes engage students at their level to introduce them to a world of dance that is amazing and inspiring. Dancers will learn technique that will improve flexibility and strength and the principle movements of ballet and tap (and jazz for older students). Preschool Ballet/Tap Combo and Beginning Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo for 1st-3rd graders

Abrakadoodle Art
(Tuesdays, PK4 and up)
We celebrate Crayola® and fabulous things you can imagine using their products! We create with Crayola® watercolors, Model Magic® modeling compound, chalk, tempera paints, special crayons, oil pastels, acrylic paints and more while exploring color, designing vertical garden sculptures, and building nocturnal animals. Bubbles pop with drawing chalk! A still life explodes onto paper with construction paper crayons and watercolors. Don’t forget oil pastels that inspire lively molas. Have a colorful time creating your own Crayola art! Open to ages 4-11!
