Accreditation

St. Cecilia Catholic School is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Department of Education.The Texas Catholic Conference Education Department, through its association with the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC), is recognized by the Texas Education Agency, and is responsible for the implementation of the accreditation process for Texas Catholic schools. The characteristics which singled out St. Cecilia Catholic School as a leader among schools include:

  • Strong role the school plays in the parish, school, home and local civic area.  Service learning is integrated within the curriculum for all grade levels.
  • Principal is commended for shared leadership style with the faculty, staff, parents, and Home School Association.  She has also implemented Professional Learning Communities and provided training opportunities to enhance the quality of the instructional program.
  •  Catholicity outside of religion class is evident in all activities, ie. Service, retreats, social/moral teaching and guidance, Mass, reflection activities, prayer journals and sports.
  • Strong Discipline with a Purpose program in the classrooms by the teachers and counselors.
  • Academic Dean hired to provide on-going observations, evaluations and support of teachers. Teachers have formalized growth plans, professional development classes, peer classroom observations.  Teachers all have yearly goals on file and administration works with teachers to help achieve their goals.

Such a mix of high standards, family involvement, and an emphasis on achievement by the students, faculty, and school leadership continues to be a top priority as we prepare our students to become our leaders in the 21st century.
